Reflection: My idea behind this assignment is that students will learn history about a chosen topic through the use of online, credible resources. They will work in pairs or groups to complete an accurate time line of their subject. My link to my time line is at the top of the page. I have learned that a lot of the sources out there are not credible. I got my initial idea for the time line presented from a website and copied down the events listed that I felt were major and interested me. Upon researching the events, I discovered that most of the dates were wrong or greatly exaggerated. I obtained most of my information from History.com, which I fell is a very reliable source. I practiced my skills on adding pictures and even added a video link. I feel that Tiki-Toki is a very useful tool and far above the other timeline programs I have used. I enjoyed this assignment and hope that I could not only teach my students about history, but also about the availability of information and which sources to trust. One of the links in my initial timeline search seemed legitimate, but when you clicked on it you were taken to a blog page about the Trumps.
